Most accessory purchases solve one of three problems.

Paper. Either you are refilling too often, or you want a second cassette so two materials stay loaded and nobody swaps stock between jobs. Additional and high capacity trays fix both, and if you print on mixed media the second tray is usually the bigger win.

Position. Larger machines are designed to sit on a matching cabinet or stand rather than a desk, and some additional trays need one underneath. Large format printers in particular are sold both with and without stands, so check which version you have before ordering.

Finishing and connection. Output trays, staplers and network options.

The thing to check every time is the model number. Epson accessories are specific to individual machines rather than whole series, and the suffix on the model name usually matters more than it looks like it should.
